After applying the seventh coat of gesso and sanding between layers, the canvas is primed for painting. Today, I am painting in a basic composition of the "Inglorious Chorus" oil painting. Using yellow ocher oil, I paint in a rough outline of the rainy nocturnal urban scene from a 5th floor perspective. Headlights, street lamps and illuminated offices are my visual points of reference as I map out the composition.
