Painting: Untitled (04/11/2020)

Writer: Tony TealTony Teal

Today, I am painting in the remaing section of the sky. I am using a mixture of french ultra-marine blue, permanent alizarin crimson and titanium white for the violet-blue color and painting from the edges to the center near the horizon. Blue is a very soothing color to the psyche, and I feel this is important. Maybe this is the reason I choose to paint nocturnal scenes with deep blue atmospheres. I paint in a very rough outline of the rungs on the bridge's architecture as I remind myself that it will not be perfect, especially not in the beginning. The important thing is to get the basic color and shape down and know that I will eventually get there in time.
